1971 Maverick Grabber
Rotisserie Restoration
302 (415 HP)
T5 Transmission, 4:10 Posi Trac
Disc Brakes

While I have loved every Mustang I have owned, they don’t stand out at the local car show like this Maverick. One of the best in the country, this Grabber gets attention. I have never seen another Grabber Lime car. Great looks are combined with performance. This little pocket rocket will haul the mail!

Highlights
An original Grabber V8 car (original Grabber Lime paint code #2294) was rotisserie restored. The drivetrain was completely new. Blue Oval Performance in Denver built a period correct NOM 302 to 415 HP. Ford T5 5 Speed, 8″ rear end with Detroit TruTrac, and Richmond 4.10 gears put that power to the road.

Beautiful base/clear coat paint with new chrome and trim work, detailed engine bay and trunk and killer stance makes this car a multiple show winner.

Details
This Maverick underwent a nut and bolt rotisserie restoration 7000 miles ago and still presents like new. It comes out of Colorado where it was summer driven and garage kept. I purchased it from the person who had it restored and has since kept it in excellent condition.

Receipts documenting over $30,000 spent on the restoration include:
1. Performance M-7003-Z World Class T5 transmission
2. McLeod clutch
3. Ford Racing aluminum driveshaft
4. Canfield aluminum heads with 2.02 intake valves
5. Crower 15321 solid lifter cam with 1.7 roller rockers.
6. Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold
7. Edelbrock 600 CFM carb
8. Front disk brakes
9. Hooker 6901 ceramic-coated headers
10. 2 1/2″ stainless steel exhaust
11. Magnaflow mufflers.
12. 17″/18″ polished aluminum rims
13. Dynamat on the floors
14. Detailed engine build specs available (over $7,000 invested), and all work was done by Blue Oval Performance in Denver. Receipts and pics

A full picture album and folders of receipts document the quality of this restoration.

As a teenager I owned a Maverick Grabber and acquiring another one has been on my bucket list. Good ones are rare……I’ve been looking for a very long time. I am going to hang on to this one for now until I have scratched the itch.
Not for sale at this time.
